Preparing for the Season

It’s wintertime. Today it really LOOKS like wintertime. We have many inches of snow on the ground, which is a nice change since some of January and most of February felt like spring. We had temperatures in the 70s.

Those warm temperatures did allow us to do some winter sowing. We established 1400 square feet of pollinator demonstration plots in January. Now we wait until spring when the seeds will germinate. We do all we can to make sure bees are safe and welcome on our farm.

FarmFamilyWe’ve also been busy planning for the 2015 growing season; ordering seeds, plants and supplies; reading and learning; and thinking about ways to make things even better.

We’re so excited for the coming season. We’ve got some great things in store!
